Join us for one of our typical (boring) outings into the community.
First, we go to the post office to check our box where I accidentally cause issues by saying in a casual conversation that if mail had the wrong zip code on it, the mail wouldn’t make it to this post office. Of course, that meant that we would never ever get mail ever again. #thinkbeforeyouspeak
Next, we take a stroll through Target where Jess thinks Hannah says that in Target people can bring their dogs, but that children have to be on a leash. ?
Also in Target, Hannah is a wonderful Interpreter for Jess and spoils her, while the camera lady continually cuts off Hannah’s head. ?
After Target, we head over to my awesome brother and sister-in-law’s for dinner and a visit. Be sure to look for the big black German Shepherd, Motlow and Bobo, in the rain-soaked soggy backyard. ?
After Dinner, we sit around the table and visit while my brother plays videos for Jess from their recent trip to Walt Disney World. ?
So, this is it…our exciting life. ?
I have just discovered your YouTube channel & enjoy it very much. I’m an SLP & my cousin is completely blind. So I’m learning more about “blindisms” (mannerisms typical of blind people). Would you post a video addressing family members, relatives, caregivers, etc. I’m not finding this information so far. Also, Information re: “nursing studies”, & living with Keely in the future (how does Jess know Keely, etc.). Where does Val work (nurse at what type of setting), where does Hannah work. Who is Mallory, etc. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Hi Rena! Thanks for your questions. Regarding family, caregivers, etc., are you looking for who’s who? Interviews? Or what? It’s Jessica’s dream job to be a nurse, so she likes to ‘study’ by listening to YouTube videos about nursing studying for the NCLEX.
Again with the dreams for the future, that’s pretty much the concept behind her discussing living with Keely. There is not a real plan for her to live with Keely. I previously worked with Keely on a cardiac telemetry unit, and I also worked in outpatient surgery. I am not currently working as a nurse.
Hannah is an elementary school ASL interpreter. When you asked about Mallory, I’m not sure who you are referencing. Maybe you mean Marlow? She is Jessica’s paid caregiver.
