Autistic and Blind, but she can cook. Put hash browns 1st on the list of the one thing Jess can cook for herself. She requires verbal prompts, and she resists a few steps because of her fear of getting burned. It’s a slow process, but who cares, she’s rarely in a hurry.
A few notes:
- Bedhead is massive, but not worth a fight first thing in the morning.
- Real life is evident – working full-time, caring for J full-time, leaves no time nor energy for a spic and span house.
- Our oven is ancient and falling apart.
- Jess is proud of herself and wants her own house… until I insist she get the pan out of the oven herself, then she announces she not really independent. ?
