Bragitude Day 5

Ah… Only day 5 and I’m already having one of those days where I’m having to get past my own attitude to find something to brag about. I’ve been working on something or another all day solid and at the same time feel like I have accomplished nearly nothing. Nevertheless… here goes! Sometimes when it seems I’ve just been endlessly spinning my wheels I have to remind myself that it’s still in the name of progress

Brag

My brag is that I made progress on my quest to get my video files more organized. I also made really good progress on getting Nonnie’s Cookbook ready to launch. Although, I’m new at this so I’m stumbling over figuring out shipping stuff a little.

Gratitude

Today, I’m grateful that the backache that kept me awake much of the night last night mostly went away today.

Bragitude day 3 (I think I missed posting this gratitude.)
Brag – My Brag of the day is that I´m proud of my work as an admin in a Facebook group called ”One picture a day” (In Swedish ”En bild om dagen 2021”). Every day has got a theme that shall be expressed with a photo. There are about 1000 members and 200 of them have been more or less active this year, some of them every day. In the end of each week I disclose seven themes for the following week and the pics shall be taken recently. It´s my fourth year as an admin and all themes except a few ones are new.
Gratitude – I´m so grateful that I´ve got that ”work” with the Facebook group. It brings me so much joy and makes me feel that I´m making others happy. As I´m a slightly disabled pensioner it´s important to busy myself with doing anything meaningful.

    Bragitude day 5
Brag – My Brag of the day is that I went out for a walk today even if my body was stiff and the wind was chilly. I can still walk pretty well with my walker if the ground is smooth.
Gratitude – I´m grateful that I had a nice phone call from one of my best friends. She moved from Strängnäs two years ago but we still keep in touch. I hope I´ll be able to see her again next year.

I always have good intentions to get food cooked up on the weekends but doesn’t always happen. It must have been the nap that helped this time.

Bragitude…Day 5 ish…..I’m struggling with this today probably because I took a nap all day. Not sure if that’s a brag or gratitude or guilt. Brag – I did get some meals cooked up for lunches for the week. Hopefully that will help me avoid takeout in my laziness. Gratitude – warm weather and open windows this weekend. The upcoming week is gonna be cold in the 30s and 40s.

I would count a nap as both brag AND gratitude 😊. I ❤️ naps – cost nothing and make me feel rich beyond measure.

I agree with you, Saskia that naps should count as both!

Good for you for getting the lunches cooked. I sometimes think about cooking for the week ahead but am terrible at follow through on that.

I really think that the days it’s hardest to brag, are the most important to be kind to yourself. Submitted my bragitude on Instagram, but I enjoy reading bragitudes here also. For today…laundry day done (brag), slept well last night (gratitude). 💜

Yes, that’s true. It’s interesting to me how I can measure the cumulative mood for the day by how challenging the bragitude exercise feels for the day.
